Outer Banks Treasure Hunt is a small, local operation: self-guided scavenger hunts across the Outer Banks, built and fact-checked by people who live here.
We’re the family behind Beach4x4, a 4WD beach rental company in Kill Devil Hills, and obxmaps.com, our free maps-and-guides site for the OBX. The hunts grew out of the same habit that built the maps site: walking the actual ground, reading the actual signs, and checking every claim before we print it.
Every challenge in every hunt is answerable from what’s physically in front of you — a sign, a marker, a building — and we cut anything we can’t verify on-site.
